Welcome

Here at Fox we believe in helping our clients to understand the impact of the work they do and to realise that impact through the way they represent themselves to their audience and clients.

We are designers, photographers, project managers and educationalists. Sounds like a lot? Creativity crosses over many platforms and has a multitude of uses, we aim to use our creative skills for the benefit of a wide range of clients; and to take those skills into businesses, organisations and schools alike.

Children's Hospital Poetry

The new 'Poetry in the Waiting Room' publication is currently being produced and features writing from patients within the children's hospital itself. Fox commissioned poet and writer Mike Wilson to lead 2 workshops with children who were patients at the hospital earlier this year. Their work has then been produced in this small publication which also features documentary photographs of the sessions. Poetry in the Waiting Room will be distributed throughout the whole hospital in early October.

Creative Thought Derby

Tonight a new exhibition in Derby Museum will be launched. Creative Thought is a community learning project which encourages the use of museums to inspire creativity. This exhibition brings together newly commissioned art and craft pieces and museum objects in a collection inspired by The Silk Mill and its history. In January, resource boxes containing objects from the exhibition will be available to borrow from the museum for use with adult community groups.

Fox have been instrumental in developing the look and feel of the supporting material and interpretive design within the exhibition. Shown is the book we have produced for the exhibition which encompasses a wide range of historical and creative material.

National Poetry Day Commission

Fox has recently completed a commission for the National Poetry Day promotional material (pictured) - which this year focuses on the theme of 'Work'. This is the second year running that we have produced the work for this wide-reaching scheme, last year the theme was 'Dreams'. Forty thousand A2 posters will be distributed throughout schools and organisations nationwide and the poster has suggestions and schemes of work on the reverse to spark off the imagination in preparation for National Poetry Day on Thursday the 9th of October.

Lifemarks Poetry Anthology

We are very pleased to announce that the Lifemarks Poetry Anthology has been reprinted after the first edition sold out. The Motor Neurone Disease Association have stocked 500 copies for sale through their website and outlets.

Poet Arthur Gardner was diagnosed with MND in autumn 2007. Together with friends Jo Bell, Derek Adams and Andrew Bailey, he co-edited Lifemarks before MND took his life in April 2008. The first edition of 300 copies sold out within six weeks of publication, and the second edition is now on sale. Its continuing success is a tribute to Arthur, to all who contributed their work for free, and to the hard work of the MND Association. We published this book under our publishing arm of Cub.

Order Lifemarks direct from the MND Association by clicking here.

Fox design new logo for Derby City Hospital's Arts Strategy

Working with Juliet Cooper and the Arts and Wayfaring Committee from Derby City Hospital has led to the creation of "AIR" - the new brand name for the extensive and innovative arts programme rolling out at DCH. The logo and branding will roll out on April 11th and will support the fantastic pieces of work commissioned from creative practitioners such as artists, sculptors, musicians, photographers...

The branding will be seen throughout the vast hospital site and we hope it will give visitors, staff and patients the encouragement they need to stop for a moment, take a breath, and view a piece of work that might just help.
